Mercury 4-Stroke Outboard Specialists
Mercury 4-stroke outboard repair, maintenance, and winterization. Expert service for all Mercury models.
Mercury Marine builds some of the most popular outboard motors on Lake Bridgeport, and Bridgeport Ski Daddies keeps them running strong. We specialize in 4-stroke Mercury outboard service and repair — from portable kickers to high-horsepower V8s.
Mercury's FourStroke lineup covers a wide range: the portable 2.5–20HP models, the midrange 25–150HP, and the performance 175–400HP V6 and V8 engines. Each has specific service intervals, oil capacities, and common maintenance needs that we know inside and out.
Our Mercury outboard services include oil and filter changes, lower unit gear oil service, impeller (water pump) replacement, spark plug replacement, fuel filter and fuel system service, thermostat and cooling system maintenance, prop repair and replacement, trim and tilt service, electrical diagnostics (gauges, starters, charging systems), and annual/100-hour maintenance packages.
Mercury's SmartCraft digital gauges, Active Trim, and joystick piloting systems require dealer-level diagnostic knowledge. We service and troubleshoot these systems to keep your Mercury running at peak performance.
Don't neglect your Mercury outboard. Regular maintenance prevents the expensive emergency repairs we see from deferred service. Call (817) 915-3266 for Mercury outboard service on Lake Bridgeport.

Common Mercury Outboard Issues We Fix
Mercury Outboard FAQ
How often should I change my Mercury outboard oil?
Mercury recommends oil changes every 100 hours or annually — whichever comes first. If you run your motor hard (towing, cruising at high RPM), more frequent changes are smart.
When should the water pump impeller be replaced?
Every 300 hours or every 3 years — whichever comes first. Lake Bridgeport water can be hard on impellers, so annual inspection is wise.
Can you do a lower unit rebuild?
Absolutely. Lower unit seal replacement, bearing service, and full gear rebuilds are core services for us. If you're seeing milky gear oil, the seals need attention immediately.
Do you service Mercury Verado motors?
Yes. Verado engines have additional service requirements (like the Advanced MidSection) that we're equipped to handle.
