Oil & Gear Oil Changes

Regular oil changes keep your engine running smooth and lasting longer. We use premium marine-grade oils.

Regular oil changes are the single most important maintenance you can do for your jet ski or boat engine. Fresh oil protects internal components from friction, heat, and wear — extending the life of your engine by thousands of hours. Bridgeport Ski Daddies provides quick, professional oil change service using premium marine-grade oils and filters.

Our oil change service covers engine oil and filter replacement, gear oil (lower unit oil) change, and a basic engine inspection with every visit. We use marine-specific oils designed for the unique demands of watercraft engines — higher operating temperatures, water exposure, and extended idle periods that car oils aren't formulated to handle.

Don't use automotive oil in your marine engine. Marine-grade oils have corrosion inhibitors, higher shear stability, and additives specifically designed for the wet, high-temp environment that watercraft engines operate in. We stock the right oil for your specific make and model.

We properly dispose of all old fluids — no dumping, no shortcuts. Our mobile service means we come to you, change the oil, and you don't even have to unhook your trailer. Most oil changes take 30–60 minutes.

For Lake Bridgeport riders, we recommend oil changes every 50 hours of operation or once per year — whichever comes first. If you ride hard (towing, wake sports, long full-throttle runs), every 25–30 hours is better. Call (817) 915-3266 or request a quote online.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often does my jet ski need an oil change?

Every 50 hours of operation or once per year — whichever comes first. High-performance riding (towing, wake sports) should shorten that to every 25–30 hours.

Can I use regular car oil in my jet ski?

No. Marine engines require marine-grade oil with specific corrosion inhibitors and shear stability for high-temp, wet environments. We always use the correct specification for your engine.

How much does a jet ski oil change cost?

A standard oil and filter change runs $80–150 depending on the model and oil capacity. We provide exact pricing when you schedule.

Do you change gear oil too?

Yes. We can change engine oil and gear oil (lower unit oil) in the same visit. Gear oil should be changed annually or every 100 hours.
