Bearing failure is the #1 trailer problem — and the most preventable. Every time you submerge your trailer hubs to launch your boat, water can enter the bearing cavity. That water breaks down the grease, rusts the bearings, and eventually causes catastrophic hub failure. Regular bearing repacks (annually or every 12,000 miles) prevent this.
Trailer lights are the #2 issue. Corrosion from water submersion destroys wiring connections and bulbs. We repair and upgrade trailer lighting to LED where possible for longer life and better visibility.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I repack trailer bearings?
Every 12 months or 12,000 miles — whichever comes first. If you regularly submerge your hubs when launching, every 6 months is safer.
My trailer lights don't work after launching. Why?
Water gets into the wiring connections and bulb sockets when you submerge the trailer. Corrosion breaks the circuit. We can repair the wiring and upgrade to sealed LED lights that resist water intrusion.
How much does a bearing repack cost?
A standard bearing repack runs $100–200 per axle including marine-grade grease. If bearings need replacement, add $50–100 per hub for parts.
Can you replace my trailer tires?
Yes. We replace tires, rims, and hubs. We recommend trailer-rated tires (ST designation) — not passenger car tires. Trailer tires have stiffer sidewalls designed for towing loads.
